From their development, Technosphere® welding ropes have been the benchmark for the principal manufacturers and users of continuous mixer augers for producing carbon anodes.
These augers are subjected to high stress levels and require a high degree of protection.
The chemical and physical characteristics of Technosphere allow easy service and repair of these augers: direct on-site intervention without disassembly, longer useful lifetime for parts, and desirable deposit geometry.
Precision hardfacing using the Lasercarb® process can be performed in Saint-Jorioz for certain parts such as mixer shrouds and the stationary mixer teeth.
