From their development, Technosphere coatings have been the benchmark for the principal manufacturers and users of continuous mixer augers for producing carbon anodes. These augers are subjected to high stress levels and require a high degree of protection.

The chemical and physical characteristics of Technosphere allow easy service and repair of these augers: direct on-site intervention without disassembly, longer useful lifetime for parts, and desirable deposit geometry.

Precision hardfacing using the Lasercarb® process can be performed in Saint-Jorioz for certain parts such as mixer shrouds and the stationary mixer teeth.
