Technocasting® is a process for making wear parts with complex shapes including internal diameters.
The Technocasting process produces tungsten carbide anti-wear protection that is not possible to produce with conventional welding techniques.
This principle, which is similar to foundry technology. A mold of the desired shape is filled with Spherotene and infiltrated with a brazing alloy.
The coat is made up of a very compact assembly of Sphérotène® Tungsten carbide grains and a special brazing solder. During the process, the brazing solder melts and by means of capillarity, infiltrates the grains of Tungsten carbide.
This process has proved successful in the Ceramics, Foundry and Oil Industries.
